The VAK (visual, auditory, and kinesthetic) learning styles questionnaire is a self-assessment tool that helps individuals identify their preferred learning styles. It is based on the theory that people have different preferences for how they receive and process information.

The questionnaire consists of 30 statements, each with three answer choices. The respondent is asked to select the answer that best describes them. The answers are scored to determine the respondent’s dominant learning style.

The three learning styles are:

Visual: Visual learners prefer to learn by seeing things, such as pictures, diagrams, and charts. They may also prefer to read instructions or watch videos.

Auditory: Auditory learners prefer to learn by hearing things, such as lectures, discussions, and music. They may also prefer to listen to audiobooks or podcasts.

Kinesthetic: Kinesthetic learners prefer to learn by doing things, such as experiments, activities, and simulations. They may also prefer to participate in physical activities and games.

Administration, Scoring and Interpretation

  • Introduce the questionnaire: Briefly explain the purpose of the questionnaire and how to complete it. Assure participants that their responses will be confidential.
  • Distribute the questionnaires: Provide each participant with a copy of the VAK-LSSQ and a writing utensil.
  • Instructions: Iinstructions aloud to the participants.
  • Answering the questionnaire: Give participants sufficient time to complete the questionnaire. Once everyone has finished, collect the questionnaires.
