About Social Networking Usage Questionnaire
A self-translated Urdu version of the Social Networking Usage Questionnaire (Gupta & Bashir, 2018) was used in the current study. The original English form of this questionnaire was initially applied to 420 students from six universities of Jammu and Kashmir that measured social media consumption. The factor analysis revealed four factors of social media usage that were; academic, informativeness, entertainment and socialization and the internal consistency (α = .83) was good. The internal consistency of our self-translated Urdu version regarding our sample (n =412) was also tested comes .96 showing very good reliability.
