About Pain Coping Questionnaire
The Pain Coping Questionnaire (PCQ) is a self-report instrument for children and adolescents from age eight to measure how often a particular coping strategy is used on a scale from 1 (never) to 5 (very often). Internalizing/catastrophizing is a five-item subscale that assesses one aspect of coping with negative emotions that likely impair the use of more adaptive strategies. This particular subscale has previously been considered relevant to this population.
