About AACP Recovery Oriented Service Evaluation
The AACP ROSE was created as a self-assessment instrument to help organisations track their progress in delivering recovery-enhancing services in a measurable way. The instrument was based on a set of AACP principles that describe policies and practises that encourage recovery for people who have had mental health and/or drug use issues in the past. The items in AACP ROSE are derivatives of accomplishment indicators established for each of the elements stated in the “Guidelines.” Theoretically, agencies with high scores will have better recovery results. The AACP used a consensus-building method to create the instrument.
In addition, customers and family members were asked for informal comments. Consumers/survivors, family/friends of consumers/survivors, members of racial and ethnic minority groups, providers, and administrators were all involved in the development of the instrument. Consumer Involvement in Development: Consumers and family members were asked for informal comments. Involvement of Members of Racial/Ethnic Minority Groups in Creation: The AACP and the Quality Management Committee, which was principally responsible for the instrument’s development, are made up of people from various ethnic backgrounds. Similarly, the stakeholders who were asked to submit comments came from a variety of backgrounds.
