There are many factors that contribute to a positive classroom environment, including:

  • Physical environment: The physical environment of the classroom should be clean, organized, and well-lit. The furniture should be arranged in a way that promotes student interaction and collaboration.
  • Instructional practices: The teacher’s instructional practices should be clear, engaging, and challenging. The teacher should provide opportunities for students to participate actively in learning.
  • Student-teacher relationships: The teacher should build positive relationships with students. Students should feel respected and supported by the teacher.
  • Classroom climate: The classroom climate should be safe, respectful, and supportive. Students should feel comfortable taking risks and expressing themselves.

There are many things that teachers can do to create a positive classroom environment, such as:

  • Be consistent in enforcing the rules.

  • Ask the participant to read each item carefully and indicate how much the item applies to them on a four-point scale ranging from 0 (not at all) to 3 (very much).
  • Once the participant has completed the questionnaire, collect it and score the responses.
