About Problem Solving Capabilities Test (PSCT)
Student problem-solving capabilities were determined through the administration of a researcher-made problem-solving capabilities test. That test comprised of 15 well-structured problems/scenarios/investigations of daily life relevant to the course content. Those problems/scenarios/investigations were developed for examining critical thinking skills, understanding, problem-solving, self-evaluation, data gathering and learning skills of the students. Students had to find out solutions to each problem/scenario/investigation. The total marks of the problem-solving capabilities test were 60.
