About Pain Disability Index

Pain Disability Index (PDI) is a brief instrument developed to assess the degree to which chronic pain interfere(s) with daily activities. Seven items regarding various activities are rated by the patients on a 0-10 scale from “no trouble” to “total disability”. Several studies support the reliability and validity of the PDI. A Swedish version of the PDI has been used with WAD-patients, showing good reliability.
