About Eating Disorder Examination Self-Report Questionnaire
Eating disorder symptoms were assessed using the Eating Disorder Examination Self-Report Questionnaire (EDE-Q), a questionnaire based on the eating disorder examination (EDE) (Cooper & Fairburn, 1987). Its 36 items assess the main behavioural features of eating disorders in the past month. Most items are rated along a 7-point scale. The scores are summarized and divided by the number of items, providing a mean item score. Cronbach’s α was 0.94.
