About Davidson Trauma Scale
Davidson Trauma Scale: The DTS is composed of 17 items corresponding to each of the 17 DSM-IV symptoms. Items can be categorized as follows: items 1–4, 17: criteria B (intrusive re-experiencing); items 5–11: criteria C (avoidance and numbness); and items 12–16: criteria D (hyperarousal). For each item, the subject rates both frequency and severity during the previous week on a 5-point (0 to 4) scale for a total possible score of 136 points. Subscale scores can be computed separately for frequency and severity.
