About Self Reporting Questionnaire
The main outcome measure in this study was the SRQ-20, with a score of 8 or more signifying caseness. The recommended cut-off point in the WHO manual is 7/8, this threshold has been previously used in studies conducted in Pakistan (Hamid, 2001). It has also been validated in India (Jaswal, 1995). In a recent review (Harpham et al., 2003), the SRQ-20 has been recommended as a robust, valid, cost-effective way to measuremental health.
