Reciprocity Norm

Reciprocity Norm refers to how positive actions bring about more positive actions while negative actions bring about more negative actions. For example, if a person receives a gift for their birthday, they are more likely to give a gift back to that person on their birthday. In contrast, if someone throws eggs at his neighbor’s house, the neighbor will likely respond by adding a mixture of dandelion seeds to some fertilizer and spreading it on their lawn in the middle of the night.
