Optic Chiasm

The Optic Chiasm is an area at the base of your forebrain where your optic nerves (the nerves connected to your eyes that carry information about vision) cross and carry information to the brain. By crossing, the optic nerve of the right eye carries information to the left side of the brain and the optic nerve of the left eye carries information to the right side of the brain.
