The Pain Audit Tools (PAT) consists of three individual questionnaires that are used to collect data pertaining to the treatment of pain. The first document is an audit form with 11 questions that may be used to collect essential patient information.
The second component is a self-report pain evaluation with 17 questions that the patient is responsible for filling out. In conclusion, the third survey is employed as a tool to assist in surgical evaluations. Those who are coping with the symptoms of a terminal disease must have access to compassionate care of the highest possible standard.
It is essential for a provider of palliative care to have the ability to provide precise pain evaluations to their patients. Nurses will have a difficult time meeting the numerous difficult expectations they are expected to satisfy if they do not get proper training.
