Background/Description
ACTIVITES-REVUE ELECTRONIQUE is an electronic, open-access journal that serves as a platform for preserving and debating conceptualizations related to human activities in various real-life contexts. Founded in 2003, with its first online publication in April 2004, the journal is published biannually in April and October. It covers a wide range of disciplines, including ergonomics, work psychology, professional didactics, linguistics, philosophy, engineering, and design.
The journal’s editorial policy was established during the 2001 General Assembly of the Société d’Ergonomie de Langue Française (SELF) and has since been supported financially by SELF. ACTIVITES-REVUE ELECTRONIQUE aims to be a repository for ideas and discussions on the theoretical, practical, and social aspects of human activities in research and intervention contexts. It emphasizes the study of human activities in real situations and the associated methods for analysis, intervention, and design.
ACTIVITES-REVUE ELECTRONIQUE has evolved over the years to enhance its visibility and accessibility. In 2016, the journal joined the Revues.org platform as part of a portal for electronic resources in the humanities and social sciences. This move aimed to increase visibility by reaching university libraries and databases. The journal has also embraced a multidisciplinary approach, focusing on productive tensions between knowledge and action while remaining open to diverse disciplinary contributions.
The journal’s editorial process involves a double-blind peer review system where each article is rigorously evaluated by the editorial board before undergoing expert assessment. Authors are encouraged to submit their work following the guidelines provided on the journal’s website to ensure alignment with the editorial policy.
