A constellation of physical and behavioral symptoms characteristic of children who have been physically abused. Physical symptoms include bruises, cuts, burns, bone fractures, and internal injuries. Behavioral symptoms
include social withdrawal, fearfulness, anxiety, emotional flatness, inability to concentrate, constipation or encopresis, and lack of appetite
