About The State Anxiety Inventory
the State Anger Scale was followed by the State Anxiety Inventory (Appendix D), also designed by Spielberger et al. (1983). In addition, comparing state anger scores with state anxiety scores, allows one to determine if anger is actually being elicited, as opposed to just negative emotion. The State Anxiety Inventory (a subscale of the State Trait Anxiety Inventory, STAI) is similar to the State Anger Scale.
