Overview
We have a vacancy for a School Counsellor who will provide a counseling service for students in Years 7-13, as part of a team of three part-time counselors. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in a school that is utterly committed to the wellbeing of its students and staff. The scope of this post also includes working closely with our pastoral team to promote mental and emotional health and wellbeing.
Salary details: Full-time salary Bucks Pay, £29,673 – £32,683 Actual Salary £9,154.83 – £10,083.48
Contract type: Permanent
Hours: 2 days per week, Term time only

About the role
Valuing wellbeing and the promotion of good emotional and mental health is central to our school community. The school counseling service forms an integral part of the range of student support services available in the school and comprises three part-time counselors.
One confidential counseling is available to any student who emails and requests support.
The counseling team plays an important role in promoting good emotional and mental health by offering a range of additional services such as drop-in sessions, group sessions, involvement in the PSHE curriculum, and assemblies.
The successful candidate would need to perform duties within the codes of practice and ethics recommended by the BACP, UKCP, or equivalent organization.

The role would require an accredited qualification in counseling recognized by a professional body like the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).
